Get to know the talented teachers behind THE ACTING ART ACADEMY

John MacLaren is an experienced actor.
director and educator with a passion for teaching and coaching.
In the mid-90s, John served as Associate Artistic Director of The
Vancouver Playhouse. Now dedicated to training the next
generation of actors, John teaches at The Acting Art Academy
and leads on-camera classes at CTN (CBS). He also provides
customized workshops in Canada & Southeast Asia.

Eric Ellul is a cambodia-based performer and educator whose work emcompasses theatre, contact improvisation and body percussion. Since 2005, he has been participating in interdisciplinary performances where words eventually dance and movements resonate. He founded “Common Sole” performance collective in 2012, and is currently teacher at Lycée Français René Descartes (French Literature and Drama).

LANA is a theater director who has been educated at Saint Petersburg Institute of Culture, Russia. Department of Acting and Directing. She has a bachelor’s degree in theater directing. She is also studying for her master’s degree in intercultural communication at the Shanghai Theatre Academy in China.

Vicky’s technique focuses on Danse Theatre and focuses on body movement. her style focusing on quality movement and synchronization in order to make a story raw and as real as possible, with the body language telling the stories without the actor has to say their line.
